Basic information

The unique infrastructure project MUNI BioPharma Hub represents a fusion of modern educational spaces for the Faculty of Pharmacy at Masaryk University, state-of-the-art research infrastructure of the Preclinical Centre, and the Centre for Molecular Medicine.

It is one of three projects in the Czech Republic that has received support under the National Recovery Plan, specifically in section 3.2.4 - Investments in the development of selected key academic institutions. Simultaneously, it stands as the largest investment initiative by Masaryk University since the completion of the University Campus in Bohunice.

We are establishing an interdisciplinary modern workplace for educating future experts in the fields of pharmacy, medicine, biotechnology, and more. This initiative will contribute to enhancing the resilience of Czech society against both expected threats (prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic diseases) and unexpected challenges.

BioPharma will be a genuine "hub" in the field of pharmaceutical and biotechnological production, incorporating the latest insights from the field of information technology, all in one location in Brno - Bohunice, in collaboration with partners from the public and private sectors.
